Chairs Barber Studio is a grooming and wellness space — haircuts, facial treatments, and consults for hair, skin, and body.

Grooming is self-care. It's a ritual, an act of self-love. Exceptional grooming, real attention — that's the standard.

In 2018, Lyssandra and Ryan met and fell in love in the Bay Area. By 2020, they'd moved to LA, ready to plant their trained skillsets and passions — wellness and grooming — together under one roof.

Meet the Team

    RYAN BEAVERS

    CO-FOUNDER, BARBER

    Ryan moved to San Francisco in 2006 to pursue his MFA in painting, after finishing that program he eventually found himself apprenticing at a high volume shop for years before becoming a barber. Ryan brings the same meticulous attention to detail from his fine art practice to the barber chair. In 2020, he and Lyssandra relocated to LA with a vision to create a barbershop that functioned as a living art project—a space where culture, design, health, and grooming converge. In 2025, they made it happen with Chairs.

    MELISSA CUTTING

    BARBER, ESTHETICIAN

    Melissa has over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry; first in product R&D and then working on sets where she found her passion for men’s grooming. She’s been a licensed barber and esthetician for over a decade. She loves LA, LA sports teams, and her dog Oliver, who is a part-time Chairs employee.

    Lyssandra, co-founder & certified holistic nutritionist and community herbalist with over a decade of running her integrative healing practice, is now channeling that expertise at Chairs—offering wellness consults around hair and body and formulating our organic botanical blend of hair oil for growth and restoration.

    BARBER, HAIRSTYLIST

    Brittany’s passion for the beauty and barbering industry began on set as a child actor and has stayed with her ever since. As a dually licensed cosmetologist and barber, she brings a diverse set of skills to the chair. She values human connection and the overall guest experience just as much as the haircut itself, ensuring every client leaves feeling relaxed, refreshed, and confident. Outside the shop, she loves cooking, live music, camping, and resetting with time in nature.
